ZS Pro for The Win: Double Win at the SA Legends Tour With MG Motor South Africa

Plettenberg Bay, 28 January 2026. The Plettenberg Bay Country Club hosted an unforgettable week of championship golf during December, culminating in Doug McGuidgan winning the 2025 South African Senior Open title on the Garden Route. MG Motor South Africa proudly served as the official vehicle partner for this prestigious tournament, offering a brand-new MG ZS Pro compact SUV as a hole-in-one prize on the 13th hole.

Double luck struck at the event, as two holes-in-one were recorded on the 13th hole. Brett Liddle achieved the remarkable feat of acing the hole and took home the MG ZS Pro. Moments earlier, amateur golfer James Faber, known as FJ, also celebrated a hole-in-one at the same hole. However, being an amateur, FJ was not eligible to accept prizes valued over a certain amount. As a compromise, Super Group, in partnership with MG Motor South Africa, announced that FJ would also receive an MG ZS Pro to drive for a year.

FJ was thrilled with the arrangement. "I'm happy to have an MG to drive for a year," he said. Having played nine holes-in-one during his golfing career, which began when he was 20, he added, "This is my fourth hole-in-one this year!"

Tyler Chislett, the golf club manager, praised the compromise made by Super Group and MG Motor South Africa, calling it a fantastic and generous gesture. "This wonderful opportunity is a testament to James's exceptional golfing skills. Well done to both Brett Liddle and James Faber!" he said.
