Thabang Mosiako of Nedbank Athletics Club etched his name into the winner’s column with a commanding performance, clocking an impressive 29:45. From the moment the starter’s gun fired, Mosiako surged ahead, setting a blistering pace that never faltered. His dominance was evident as he led from start to finish, crossing the line with a mix of exhaustion and triumph.

Hot on his heels was Bennett Seloyi of Boxer Athletics Club, who finished in 30:00, showcasing grit and consistency. In the women’s category, Kenya’s Fridah Ndinda, representing Tatu City Athletics Club, reaffirmed her supremacy. The 24-year-old defended her title with a time of 35:18, leading from the front and never looking back. Following her was South Africa’s own Gerda Steyn, the reigning Comrades Marathon Champion 2025 and a legend in ultra-distance running. Steyn, running for Hollywood Athletics Club, finished in 35:52, proving her versatility across distances. Karabo Mailula of Tuks Athletics Club secured third place with 36:12, a strong showing that hints at a promising future.
